These indicators are adhesive labels that control the time a product is exposed to a temperature higher than adequate. Its use is simple, just stick it on the product or its packaging and activate it by removing the upper tab and the protective film sheet.
Once activated, if the temperature is higher than that marked On the label, the control points change their color sequentially, thus indicating the exposure time at that temperature. Each point is regulated to carry out the complete color change, once the amount of time prescribed for each point has been accumulated. In this way, we can know the time of exposure to critical temperatures, seeing which points have changed and which have not. Some of the models have a single point, so they only measure a period of time.
The color change is irreversible and stops or resumes, depending on whether or not the marked temperature. In this way, it correctly records the time of exposure to temperature, even intermittently. The fact that the change is permanent allows a posteriori to see the level of compliance with the cold chain.
