This adhesive temperature indicator changes colour on the basis of the temperature. This is a LCD reversible indicator (Liquid Crystal Display) as it always displays the real temperature of the device or surface on which it is stuck.

By a traffic light signalling, this label makes the following colour change to display the temperature:

  • Green: the temperature is below 50ºC
  • Amber: the temperature is between 50ºC and 70ºC
  • Red: the temperature is above 70ºC

Its function consists in visually alerting on overheating on devices or surfaces.  Flexible and adhesive, this label can be stuck to any surface, non-flat surfaces included.

This temperature indicator is available in just one model with the following temperature ranges: <50ºC / >50ºC y <70ºC / <70ºC.

Indicator manufactured with LCD (non-toxic mixture of liquid crystalline esters) by the next generation Easy Read technology consisting of a simple colour change. It is about microencapsulated crystals changing colour by the temperature. This temperature label has a self-adhesive base on which heat sensitive material is printed. It is laminated with a thin layer of transparent polyester having a protective function.

This indicator resists up to 3 hours immersed in water at room temperature. Its prolonged exposure to sunlight or to UV radiation is not recommended. It does not contain batteries, electronic components or dangerous substances.

Its accuracy is +/- 1ºC.

This temperature label has been manufactured in compliance with ISO 9001.

This indicator and its materials comply with RoHS 3 (EU2015/863), WEE and Reach regulations and are not harmful to the environment and public health.

The chemicals contained in this label are not dangerous and are not included in the lists of California Proposition 65 and SVHC.

Uses of the LCD traffic light temperature indicator

The traffic light temperature label is commonly used as a visual signalling and alert on the overheating of devices, switchboards and general surfaces.

This indicator can be used in any sector such as food, pharmaceutical industries and other specific uses. It is commonly used to monitor some devices subject to overheating due to a prolonged use which can damage or shorten their life span.

Easy to use and low cost are the main advantages of this temperature label. Being an easy to read indicator, it allows operators to detect possible overheating in the facility at a glance.
